Over 100 hundred eye surgeries have been conducted by a visiting group of eye specialists.
The eye specialists are from the Hawaiian Eye Foundation and are currently carrying out surgeries and consultations at the Ba Vision Clinic.
Acting prime minister Aiayz Sayed-Khaiyum yesterday paid a visit to the team to acknowledge their efforts in restoring the eyesight of Fijians living along the Lautoka to Tavua corridor.
The team’s visitation to Fiji strengthens the continuous partnership with the Ba Vision Clinic.
Hawaiian Eye Foundation president Dr. John Corboy said the foundation would continue to assist Fijians and are open to partnerships with Government as well.
