There were many issues raised at today’s Youth Dialogue on Violence Against Women.
With youth advocates playing a critical role in raising awareness, the one day forum was critical for these advocates to strategize future plans.
For these youth advocates, today’s forum was a great platform for them to raise issues from the communities they represent.
A first, the forum was held by the Fiji Women Crisis Centre with UNDP and the Australian Government.
The forum was to actively engage with representatives and how to tackle violence issues subjected on children, women and men.
The LGBT community also raised their concerns regarding the handling of cases by authorities.
The inclusion of the awareness into the education curriculum was also voiced.
The forum ended today.
