The Opposition has demanded more details be released as to how the military ammunition was acquired.
SODELPA and the National Federation Party says government must make public the bilateral agreement reached with Russia regarding the military gear.
“We are talking about millions of dollars from the budget allocated to the RFMF or if tax payers contributed a substantial amount to run the affairs of defense of this nation then transparency and rules of democracy that we should know, said Ratu Isoa Tikoca, the Opposition Whip.
“If it is a donation, we want to know, the people of the country want to know, why we’ve acquired those arms and ammunitions as part of donation and what is the agreement,” added Dr. Biman Prasad, the Leader of the National Federation Party.
