Nadi football team is confident of turning the tables in the semifinals of the Battle of Giants.
The side were lucky enough to make it to the knockout stages and are now planning to mould a combination that could see them advance into the final.
Nadi football team players waited anxiously to find out whether they’ll be in the semifinals of the Inkk Mobile Battle of Giants tournament.
The wait was finally over and Nadi progressed at the expense of Suva – who defied all the odds to beat Lautoka.
The 5-1 win saw Nadi into the last four and Lautoka send home packing.
“Suva did a fair play and helped us win the tournament they played the best football,” said Kamal Swamy – Coach, Nadi Football team.
They had mixed results in the pool games winning one match, drawing another and losing one game.
The jet-setters re-grouped in camp today.
“Its an honor to go to semifinal and we were very lucky enough to be in the semifinals.”
Coach Kamal Swamy will now map out his plan for the semifinal.
Nadi faces a tough challenge as they’ll be up against Ba at Govind Park.
“We need to do hard work map out our plan and do some re-shuffle in this tournament.”
It will now be a mind game in the first semifinal.
Nadi will have to be at their best to bring down Ba in front their home crowd.
“We need to improve in our midfield and attacking area so that that we can perform well and do us wonders.”
Nadi face Ba on Thursday at 7pm.
