They may be swinging to a different tune for now.
But deep inside the defending Deans champions know they will need more than this to topple the Marist Brothers High School dream team
on Saturday..
And with the support of some former old scholars and former stars they have to step up.
“I believe all teams that played last week committed mistakes so did Marist and so did Lelean,” said Willie Baleinabuli-LMS-Under 18 Manager.
Most of these players were there when Lelean lost to Marist in the Under 15 and under 17 finals in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
One of those players is Peni Matawalu the younger brother of Flying Fijians halfback Nikola Matawalu.
But Lelean as always – will be trying to go all out for their sisters at Dilkusha girls home.
‘There’s not much difference in our preparations last year compared to this year but as always we always remember our sisters from Dilkusha girls it’s who we dedicate the game to.’
The under 18 maybe enjoying themselves but not these under 16 players.
These youngsters will be playing Ratu Kadavulevu school in the semis.
‘They beat us during the Eastern zone and we expecting a good game this week,’ said Solomone Seru-LMS-Under 16 Manager.
They have to work extra hard now to achieve their goal..which is a win of course.
But when they do get there it’s always a joy to watch.
