Government has invested close to $4.8million for the improvement of rural homes over the last five years.
This has benefited 556 families all over Fiji
This assistance comes under the Government’s Rural Housing Programme.
Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management Permanent Secretary, Meleti Bainimarama said the investment demonstrates government’s continuous commitment to improve the lives of rural Fijians.
In addition, the assistance also expands government support and promotes community participation in rural areas.
