A 22-year-old man has died in what police say is a suicide abduction and attempted murder.
The dead man is believed to have abducted his 17-year-old girlfriend from Valelevu and took her up to Colo-i-Suva yesterday.
The taxi that was used in that alleged abduction is seen here at the Valelevu Police Station.
Police say the girl managed to escape by jumping out of this vehicle.
It is also alleged the deceased then chased the victim while driving the vehicle and hit her.
She managed get herself to the Dokanaisuva Community Post where the matter was reported.
Police later found the deceased in this car after he hit a FEA post.
It is suspected that he had attempted to take his own life.
Both were rushed to the CWM Hospital where they were admitted in Intensive Care Unit.
The man however died this morning.
Investigations continue.
