The Vodafone Fiji 7s team won their second Pool A encounter at the Vancouver Sevens, thrashing Portugal 62 points to nil.
This is so far the highest score of day One.
Fiji opened the scoring Masivesi Dakuwaqa.
Savenaca Rawaca then extended the lead to 10 – nil before Jasa Veremalua and Kitione Taliga crossed the try line to make 29 – nil at half time.
Fiji showed no mercy to Portugal with further tries from Taliga, Dakuwaqa and Emosi Mulevoro.
Fiji will now face kenya in their final pool match at 2pm.
Earlier Fiji beat samoa 38-5 in their opening pool match.
