An 8-month-old baby has died after a jug filled with hot water allegedly spilled on her.
The incident occurred at their family home on Yanuca Village in Levuka.
Police say the baby was rushed to Levuka Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post mortem examination is expected to be conducted soon.
Police are urging parents to be mindful of their children and take extra care around them
