An accident in Rakiraki has resulted in the death of a man.
This accident happened just past Navatu Fijian School in Rakiraki at about 4pm today.
The vehicle involved in the accident belongs to the Fiji Electricity Authority.
Police say one man died on the scene while another was trapped.
The National Fire Authority officers worked tirelessly to free the man stuck inside who was later freed and transferred to the Lautoka hospital.
Police say the FEA van drove into a cane lorry truck that was parked in the middle of the road.
The lorry had apparently broken down and was left there.
Police are urging drivers to be careful while on the road.
Investigations continue.
