The Land Transport Authority will not tolerate motorists and road users who continue to disregard road rules this Easter.
LTA plans to have a fatality free Easter this year and is counting on drivers, pedestrians and other road users to be responsible as well.
So far nine lives have been lost on our roads this year.
To increase it’s visible presence, LTA enforcement operation teams have been deployed to strategic locations.
LTA will be targeting drink driving, speeding offences, dangerous and careless driving, use of mobile phone while driving, seat belt offences, vehicle defects, unregistered motor vehicles and illegally modified vehicles.
With 24 pedestrians who died on our roads last year, LTA is also reminding pedestrians to behave responsibly while on the roads as well.
