The Prime Minister payed a visit to the flood affected areas outside the Nadi town yesterday.
Seeing the damage caused by flood waters to these homes, his message to the residents was to keep the drains and water ways clean.
These residents also discussed with the PM plans they want for their neighborhood, with which comes a lot of assessment and planning.
While some saw this as an opportunity to do so, some were delighted to see him visit and see first hand the damage done by the flood waters.
Bainimarama also visited St. Andrews Primary School which is still an operating evacuation center. Meeting the evacuees here, he told them government is doing all it can to bring back normalcy.
He’s visit here is an assurance of the government’s effort in helping those affected back to their feet.
