New Zealand based player Naulia Dawai has been called in by Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee.
Dawai along with some Under 20 players trained with the national side today.
The hard work starts now.
Especially when you have the hopes of a nation resting on your shoulders.
This is the first hit out for the Flying Fijians ahead of the Pacific Nations Cup and joining them at training are some national under 20 players including Frank Lomani and Filimoni Savou.
Some overseas based players will arrive tonight and also the weekend.
McKee is happy with their first training run but he knows anything can happen in the next few days.
With Ben Volavola in the team as well, Bai may get to run outside the youngster in the number 12 jersey.
The PNC may also be Bai’s swan song for Fiji.
For now the fight for spots in the team is heating up.
But whatever happens, they have to make sure they are on target against Tonga next weekend.
