$1.2 Million worth of mobility aid, medical consumables and disaster relief equipment have been donated to the Fiji National Council for Disabled Persons.
The Vodafone ATH Foundation with the assistance of partners, Physionet UK and Spinal Injuries Association donated these equipment which are also for those affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.
“Supplies donated included dressings, bandages, hospitals gowns, beds and other ward and operational accessories, medical supplies, children and women’s divinity packs and mobility devices.” said

The Acting British High Commissioner who was also present during the handover said this is one of his passion.
“Supporting empowering and assisting people with disabilities during their recovery is an issue which is close to my heart in my previous posting I was fortunate enough to work with inspirational men and women who use disability sport to advance disability rights and to raise awareness of not of what they can’t do but what they can do when supported and enabled.” said Acting British High Commissioner Dave Jones
