Fiji born Chiefs super rugby centre Setareki Tamanivalu will miss their quarterfinal clash against the Stormers this weekend
Tamanivalu suffered an MCL injury against the Highlanders over the weekend.
But he will be constantly monitored for the upcoming weeks assuming the Chiefs make it into the next round.
Tamanivalu is not the only concern as flanker Liam Messam will also miss the quarter-finals as he is ineligible, having not played four games for the side.
According to the SANZAAR media and communications manager Greg Thomas, the Chiefs are not in dire need of the player and that their application has been denied.
Other players that also weren’t considered for the Chiefs are Michael Leitch, Charlie Ngatai, Andrew Horrell and Augustine Pulu.
