An athlete who will represent Papua New Guinea at the Olympic Games has found Fiji as his home for the training ground.
Theo Piniau has been into his final stages of preparations for the Rio Games.
He has been training at the ANZ Stadium since the completion of the Melanesian Games rather than going back home.
Joining the 23-year-old here in Fiji is also his coach from United States Dior Lowry.
“I chose it because i felt i could focus bit more because if i was back home my mind not able to put my focus here i don’t know big people its good to be here,” said Thoe Piniau an athlete from PNG.
Piniau secured his spot in PNG Team after collecting 1072 point performance on the IAAF scoring tables while competing in the qualifying events in his home land.
