Nasinu and Lautoka were outright winners in Tier 1 of the Digicel/Punjas Central Invitational Primary School Netball tournament.
This after Lautoka 1 were crowned winners in the Under 9 and Under 12 categories after beating Suva Swift in both the grades.
Nasinu were the overall winners in the Under 10 and Under 13 Grades after edging Suva Swift 6-5 and 12-11 in the finals.
Suva Swift were overall winners in the Under 14 Grade after beating Cakau.
“On behalf of the Committee I just wish to say thank you so much for ciming in. For us you’re all winners and you have shown the skills that you learn from your coaches in your various districts and to tell you you’re unique in your own way and if you have lost don’t think of the loss to make you feel downhearted because to us you’re all winners,” said Elenoa Vadei the President of Central Netball.
The Tier 2 winners were distributed among Kadavu, Suva Phoenix, Bua, Cakau, Gau and Navosa from the Under 9 to the Under 14 Grades.
“We’re looking forward to having more of this tournament and we wish to acknowledge our major sponsors, Punjas and Digicel. The Ministry of Education for allowing us to hold our tournament this week. This is still a school week. To all our parents and supporters we want to thank them for turning out in numbers throughout these days just to support our young players.”
