The Suva Soccer team feel that as hosts of the Courts IDC Tournament next month the team will really need to work hard.
After bowing out to Labasa in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament, the Suva Coach feels the onus is on them to perform.
“I would say good pool, good to have two top teams with us, Lautoka and Labasa so it’s a good well balanced pool, both pools. That’s what I said, it’s good to have these two teams in the pool I think we’ll have a tough battle and we’ll try to do our best. As you know the tournament will be held in Suva so we have to be really well prepared for this tournament,” said Gurjit Singh – Suva Coach.
Meanwhile, the Fiji FA President feels that the team that plays their game right will be winners at the end of the tournament.
“The teams have to be prepared well, the fitness level and everything is a key for any team and it’s a whole week tournament so it’s no longer a break there, the only break they get is Saturday. So you know they can recover before they get into the semifinals and finals and this is something the teams have to adjust well to it and make sure that their plans and their game-plan is up to what they will do,” said Rajesh Patel – Fiji FA President.
The 2016 Courts IDC will be held from October 6th at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
