No charges have been laid in relation to Fiji 7s rep Masivesi Dakuwaqa’s missing Gold Medal.
Dakuwaqa’s medal was stolen from his home in Nadi last weekend.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro said investigators had looked in to some information that someone had the missing Olympic Gold medal in their possession.
However upon inquiry the information proved to be false.
Police are continuing to request the members of the public if they have any information regarding the missing medal to contact Crime Stoppers on 919 or contact the nearest police station.
Dakuwaqa was a travelling reserve for the men’s 7s side to the Olympics, but he was called in to replace Savenaca Rawaca who failed a medical.
