Parliament has received an official letter from the National Federation Party asking for the rejection to the increase of allowances.
The recommendations of the Steering Committee on Emoluments was adopted by Parliament, which was tabled last month.
Parliament had also voted on the increases with 39 voting for the increase.
“The two NFP members that includes myself and Prem Singh we will not take the increase in allowances that is why I have written formally to the Speaker and the Secretary General of Parliament informing them about the party’s decision not to accept the increase in allowance.” said NFP Leader Biman Prasad.
