Expect more wet weather throughout the next 48 hours.
The Nadi Weather Office has tonight issued a flood and a heavy rain warning for whole of Fiji.
The trough of low pressure is set to intensify in the next few hours, people still have time to move higher ground in low lying areas.
Heavy rain and squally thunderstorms have affected most parts of Fiji today and the same will continue in the next few days.
Director for Fiji Meteorological Services Ravin Kumar says the probability of this trough to develop into a Tropical Cyclone is low at this stage however the weather man says people should be prepared as we are in the cyclone season.
Today and tomorrow we will be expecting rain, heavy at times, Monasavu and Yasawa have recorded 57-83 mm rainfall respectfully. if this heavy rain continues localized heavy rain may lead to flash flooding in some lower areas.
The Fiji Police Force has also cautioned parents to keep children away from flooded drains and creeks.
