In an earlier press conference, Leader of Opposition Ro Teimumu Kepa said despite the developments taking place up North, more needs to be done.
Kepa claimed that no major development had taken place despite a $2.29 million allocation for the renovation of the Nabouwalu jetty.
According to Kepa, her visitation as Opposition leader was also to inspect the $228 million – 70 kilometer Nabouwalu -Dreketi road project.
“For people that are driving in Nabouwalu area they have to go right to Labasa to have refills. So something that we take for granted its only when you go out that you find out it becomes more expansive because they can not refill in Labasa although there is some dispenses but there is no proper service station. The road is very good,” highlighted Ro Temumu Kepa.
Meanwhile Opposition Leader, Ro Temumu Kepa is yet to decide whether she will contest the SODELPA Leader’s post in next year’s party elections.
The hotly contested post will be contested in June next year after a change in SODELPA’s constitution.
“We have management board members who come from the different sub constituency around Fiji and they are the ones who will take that information back with them. When the time comes next year I will make that decision,” said Ro Temumu Kepa.
