“Well we’re very excited because Bond is back with Spectre the new release. We enjoyed 3 years ago the last film Skyfall and so we wanted to arrange a special screening of the Spectre this Friday for Bond fans. I’m sure its going to be very successful and get a lot of interest. Bond of course is a great British brand, its been going for decades but still brings something fresh and reminds us a lot of things about the UK” said British High Commissioner to Fiji Roderick Drummond
The British High Commission in Suva will also use the special screening event to promote Britain.
“For us Bond is great, as we see it. Its part of our Britain is great campaign and using Bond to highlight, it will encourage people to visit the UK, to do business there, to invest there, to study there. I know
we’ve got a lot of young Fijians studying in the UK at the moment. so its also an opportunity to highlight the strength of the film business in the UK where we have the third largest film industry in the world after the US and Japan and Bond is only one of the many films made in the UK this year in our thriving film business ” said Drummond
About 199 people are expected at the special screening of Spectre at the Damodar City cinemas this Friday from 6.30pm.
“I’m sure that its going to run for quite a few weeks and all you Bond fans in Fiji will get to see it and check if it measures up to expectations of all the previous Bond movies ” said Drummond
