While most of the sporting federations in the country will have their off season in the near future, for Athletics Fiji it will be a very busy schedule.
Hundreds of participants gathered at the ANZ Stadium today to kick start the new season.
Athletics Fiji President Joseph Rodan Junior said it’s going to be a very busy season for them.
‘Today’s competition is actually the launch of our athletics season, we had the west competition last week so this week is for the central athletics arm’.

It was also the perfect occasion for primary school athletes to test themselves out before their competition in the next few weeks.
‘It also compliments most of the primary schools that have been building up to the Chow Games, the zones so we have the athletes from Nasinu, Suva One and Suva two participating with national athletes and those athletes from the affiliated clubs’,Rodan added.
