Hundreds of people lined up at the Fiji National Provident Fund offices around the country today.
With a change in requirements for Natural Disaster Assistance more people turned up this morning.
Most of these people have been waiting outside the FNPF office from 7am to seek assistance after they were affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Yesterday the FNPF Board approved that all members affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston can apply for the ONE thousand dollars assistance and Quick Repairs housing assistance of 5 thousand dollars.
The ONE thousand dollars assistance is available to members regardless of the classification of their dwelling like agricultural lease, squatter, village, agreement for lease and instrument of tenancy such as titles.
