Stage is set for first ever Super Rugby match in Fiji

The stage is ready for the historical super rugby match.

It will be the biggest ever television rugby coverage for Fiji as about 50 million viewers will be glued to their TV sets for the much anticipated clash.

While the focus will be on the field, there are those who will work tirelessly behind the curtains to market Fiji world wide in the next 24 hours.

These are the people working behind the scene.

They are not only responsible for covering the historical match but they will also take Fiji to millions of viewers around the world.

These team from Sky TV New Zealand will work together with a Fiji Television crew for a smooth rugby production.

These equipment’s depicts a high level production…well it’s even bigger than the Samoa and All Blacks test held in Apia last year.

More than 10 cameras will be used for this outside broadcast with about 40 technical staff looking after pre match and post match interviews, lighting’s,cameras,sound plus the television match officials request and more.

For the crew there is nothing new to do as it will just be another normal day in the office for them.

Service has directed over 140 All Blacks tests and countless number of super rugby matches.

But for our Fiji TV crew ,we are just glad to be part of history.

This production team has been setting up here at the ANZ Stadium from Monday.

Which again shows the magnitude of this match and what it means for Fiji.

Well, why not, it’s not every year we get to host a super match.

Everything is all set and ready, we are good to go.

The countdown has started before history goes on air.
