Health Minister Jone Usamate urged the people in the district of Nadarivatu in Tavua not to involve themselves into illegal activities.
He made the comments while opening the new Nursing Station at Nagatagata.
The project is community driven and the Minister said the community here will now have access to health services which they didn’t have before.
Usamate added, several villagers opposite a nearby river – who fall in the Ba district will also be able to visit this health center.
The Minister explained to the villagers this government was here to serve their needs.
“All of this things happening here where we have people trying to form their own governments especially in this part of Fiji, we told them this is not allowed under the Constitution. Their Itaukei rights are intact and there is no need to agitate.”
