More allowance for soldiers on peacekeeping missions

rfmf 2The Ministry of Defense has revealed that the increase in peace-keeping allocation of $79 million will go towards the increase of soldiers allowance while on overseas mission.

Minister of Defense Timoci Natuva says as of next year, all soldiers serving in Sinai will have their peace-keeping allowance increased from 100 dollars to 130 dollars per day to be on the same level with other peace-keeping overseas duties.

“There issues that we want to address but we have to prioritize things to do and the first priority for Multi-National Observer is to increase their allowance because for their security in this volatile situation so we are providing allowance for them to be the same for those in Lebanon and Golan Heights,” revealed Natuva.

Natuva says the Fiji Police Force budget of $126.3 million will be used to set up new Police Stations and new posts in the organisation.

“Yes that Police Station has been put on hold every time it was suppose to be conduct this year but there is some issues that we have to solve in order for the happen it took a year that Police Station,” he said.
