Senior Government officials are in Thailand to study the country’s successful economy model.
The Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development, Agriculture and National Disaster Management Office representatives formed the delegation to Thailand.
The delegation from Fiji is joined by officers from the Ministry of Agriculture from Samoa, Tonga and Marshall Islands.
The study visit included briefings and visitations on the importance and impact of Thailand’s Sufficient Economy Theory.
Exchange of views and discussions on possible development and cooperation between Thailand and South Pacific Island countries was also entertained.
These Senior Government officials upon their return to Fiji will report on the outcome of their study visit and put together policies and strategies that can harness community development projects especially the rural based agro-sector.
